Hudson Bay Company Dag Knife

Hudson Bay Company skinning/scalping knife from the early 1850's . These knives were often referred to as a dag knife, traders knife or beaver tail knife . This knife is made very well ,weighing 1 lb and 12 1/2 inches long and 2 inches wide . These knives were often carried by trappers and fur traders instead of carrying a knife and a belt axe . These knives were designed for the riggors of chopping wood but also needed to butcher and skin animals . This knife is in very good condition for its age but is being sold in as found condition . Please look at the pictures closely . This knife will be shipped with signature required to recieve .
