Norlund Hatchet with Custom Leather Sheath overstrike guard and belt hanger

Vintage Norlund hatchet has been cleaned and sharpened and hung on a new American Hickory handle . The handle has been hand sanded smooth and hand rubbed with orange oil and beeswax . The custom leather sheath , overstrike guard and belt hanger are made from 8/9 oz veg tan leather and given a rich mahogany color . The leather is treated with Bickmore Heavy Duty Leather Preservative and finished of with copper rivets . Length is 13 inches and weighs 1 lb 8 oz cutting edge is just shy of 3 inches . The orange tape was applied at the factory and provides some link to its history . This hatchet is ready for the woods , camping , hunting ,or hiking .
