Collins Homestead hatchet with custom leather sheath belt hanger and overstrike Guard . The hatchet has been cleaned and sharpened and was rehung on the original American Hickory Handle . The custom leather is from 8/9 oz veg tan leather and hand dyed with Fiebings Light brown Pro Dye and treated with Bickmore Heavy Duty Leather preservative . The hatchet has a bonded welt and was secured with copper rivets and burrs . The custom leather was done by one of our skilled artisans here at Appalachian Axeworks . Length is 13 inches cutting edge is 3.5 inches and weight is 1 lb 12 oz
